The organic kitchens at Cross Lanes offer high quality homemade organic food at a reasonable price. Food is served throughout the day, whether you are looking for a full english breakfast, a freshly baked scone or cake with coffee, a daily lunch special, sandwich, wood fired pizza or an afternoon tea, Cross Lanes is the place to eat. Our popular Sunday lunch is served from 12 – 3pm every Sunday, it is advisable to reserve a table for this.
The restaurant is situated beneath a glazed atrium providing a real spacious relaxing environment overlooking the Teesdale countryside, a little bit of tranquility. A feature of the restaurant is our traditional wood fired pizza oven which sits at the heart of the building and is used to bake pizzas, flatbreads, rarebits and other daily specials.
We were the first to achieve the Soil Association ‘Organic Served Here’ award at 5 stars in 2017, meaning we are sourcing over 95% organic ingredients for our menu. All of our dishes are made using organic ingredients, locally sourced where possible, we also use wild caught game and fish.
We cater for all dietary requirements and offer a selection of gluten free and vegetarian dishes.
